Easter

 Today I want to share with you some Easter decorations that I've made in the past and I hope they will inspire you to decorate your home with lovely, colorful and fresh items on this year Spring/ Easter holidays. 

 We have some sweet bunny baskets, great for sweets, bread, cookies. I've made them in a variety of colors and designs.

Mother's Day Fair

I've been absent for sometime from the blog and today I decided that it was time to show you the reason why! I' ve been preparing for an important event and that is The Mother's Day Fair. I worked intensely for more than a month to create the spring collection: lovely baskets, boxes, vases and other home decorations. My new collection included also some mixed media canvases and of course I want to hear your opinion about them. I found mixed media very near to my heart and my work of recycling. It blends so well with the things that I was already doing, it gives me the possibility to incorporate almost anything in my composition, including paper, fabric, crafting foam, rope and so one... So I think that I will keep exercising this freedom of creation and try to use as much materials as I can in my future attempts.
Here you have some photos that I picked for you and I hope they can illustrate how special our collection was and what a lovely day we had there.

Valentine's Day ideas

Are you searching for the perfect gift for your loved one for Valentine's Day? If the answer is "Yes", I have gathered here for you a few wonderful ideas of  "another kind of gifts": special, personalized, unique, eco friendly gifts, entirely handmade of old recycled newspapers that for sure She or He has never seen elsewhere. 

Our theme is of course the red heart and from here we will have small variations, maybe red with white, beige or pink, a woven heart decorated with satin roses or standing hearts for her/ his desk, heart-shaped baskets and even frames with hearts made of paper roses. 

Another cute gift would be a small wooden frame decorated with newspaper roses having the word "LOVE" written in the middle with letters cut out of magazines or newspapers. 

One of these days I'll prepare for you a photo tutorial on how to make a heart-shaped decoration from newspaper tubes like the ones in the photos, which you can make any color you want and decorate as you like, using satin ribbons, fabric or foam flowers, beads, pearls, lace and any other materials you can think of.
